Hare fibre sculptures are meticulously crafted using fine wool and silk fibres on a hand-built heavy duty wire armature.  These artworks are mainly crafted with the precision of needle felting, which interlocks fibres with a fine barbed needle. The natural essence of fur and facial features are made with layers of wool to create texture and depth. Accents such as the ears are created with the fluidity of wet felting, which uses water, soap and agitation to mesh fibres together.  The blending of techniques results in expressive pieces that showcase technical skill and artistic vision.
