Ravens

Fibre sculpted Ravens are built on a hand-crafted wire armature, using needle felting to create a lifelike structure. The fibers are blended to create natural colors similar to how an artist blends their paint.The wings are crafted separately, also on a hand-built wire armature with a needle felted base that holds over 150 wet felted feathers.  Each outer wing feather and tail feather is indiviually made on a wire flute. The fine details such as the eyes, beaks and talons are needle felted with delicate layers of wool, enhancing the lifelike impression. Sizes are approximate.
